House rules may not be fun, but they’re there for everyone’s benefit.

Eco-friendly habits: Water is life: the water from the taps is safe to drink and precious, so please use it sparingly.

Household waste: Each cottage is equipped with 3 bins (household waste, glass and recycling) and bin bags. Waste should be taken to the collection point on the road to Montignac, at the exit of the hamlet of Les Bories.

As the cottages are located near a forest, use of the barbecue is subject to the owner's approval and may be prohibited in adverse weather conditions. No paper or waste of any kind may be left in the forest or on the property.

Heating and cooling with reversible air conditioning: Although heating and air conditioning are included in the price, please use them responsibly. The maximum temperature is 21°C in winter and the minimum is 24°C in summer. You can adjust these temperatures using the thermostats. Please do not leave the cottage with the windows open and the heating or air conditioning switched on. Portable heaters are strictly prohibited for environmental and safety reasons and to prevent excessive energy consumption. If we find that energy consumption is excessive, you will be charged €7 per day.

To comply with Atout France Label recommendations on environmental responsibility, an eco-friendly tips list is available in the cottage.

Noise: The first and most important rule is to use common sense and respect others. Rest and quiet take priority; please avoid excessive noise and other disturbances, especially in the evening. Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Pets: Only small dogs are allowed in the cottages.

Smoking: Smokers are kindly asked not to smoke inside the cottages. Future guests may not appreciate the smell of smoke lingering in the accommodation (fabrics, etc.). Ashtrays are provided on the terraces.

Toilets: Only toilet paper may be flushed. Do not use bleach or similar cleaning products. Guests must not flush or pour anything that could block the pipes down the sinks, showers, kitchen sinks or toilets. Otherwise, they will be liable for the costs of restoring these fixtures and the sewage pump to working order.

Furnishings: The accommodation has been designed to provide optimum comfort and a high-quality stay. Bedding, furniture and other items must not be taken outside. Information about the region is available in each cottage in French, English and Spanish. The books and board games belong to Les Nogalies.

Breakages: Please report any breakages during your stay. Inform the owner immediately of any incident or damage to the rented premises, even if no visible damage has occurred. If any items in the cottage are lost or damaged by the guest, the security deposit will be reduced by the cost of repairs or replacement, upon presentation of supporting documentation by the owner.

Keys: The entrance doors to each cottage have keyed locks. Please lock up whenever you leave the cottage. If you fail to do so, you will be liable for any theft, vandalism or other property damage, and may be charged accordingly. You are responsible for reporting any loss or damage to your personal belongings to your own insurance provider; the cottage owners accept no liability in such cases.

Outdoor furniture: Outdoor tables, chairs, parasols and sun loungers are provided for your use. Please take care of them.

Cottage grounds maintenance: During the mowing season, we may need to mow the lawn during your stay; we may also need to water the flowers. We will do our best to be as discreet as possible and respect your privacy.

When you leave, even if end-of-stay cleaning is included in the rental price, you must carry out some basic tidying before departure. Please leave the accommodation tidy, return the furniture to its original place and, in particular, leave the kitchen clean: wash and put away the dishes, empty the bins and ashtrays, and leave the bathroom towels in the shower. Empty the cupboards and fridge of any leftover food. Clean the BBQ grill.

Spa use: Use of the spa is subject to acceptance of the spa-specific rules, which will be provided on arrival.
